Requirements

To be eligible for the Six Sigma Black Belt, you must have completed a minimum two Six Sigma projects. You must have signed affidavits from the end of each project. You can also be eligible for one project as long as you have three years of work experience to earn a Green Belt certificate. This means you don’t have to be a Green Belt to become a Black Belt. Two completed projects can be used to offset the three-year requirement. These projects are usually long enough to qualify you for the Green Belt requirement automatically.

The requirements to be eligible for the six sigma Master Black Belt certificate, you must be a Six Sigma Black Belt. You must also have at least five years of experience in one or ten projects. These requirements are much higher than the previous levels. Six Sigma master black Belts have better salary prospects and many other industry benefits. If you’re a good student, it can be a long road but the end result is worth it.
