Lean Six Sigma Onsite Training

Six Sigma Development Solutions also offers Onsite Lean Six Sigma Training. Accredited by the International Association for Six Sigma Certification (IASSC).

SSDSI will come to your site to train for your choice of the Lean Six Sigma Certification Levels. Onsite training is more cost effective than open enrollment training when training larger groups of team members.

Our Lean Six Sigma Training courses are full of Games, Videos, Simulations and other active learning. We will be using engaging  learning tools like LEGOs, Paper Helicopters and Catapults to learn the Importance of Statistics and Data when Solving a Process problem. You will learn Powerful Root Cause Analysis Tools. We will be using Minitab as a statistical analysis tool throughout the course. The Instructors will keep you engaged and excited!

Six Sigma Training

We use the LEAN Lego Airplane game by Visionary Products to show the power of the LEAN methodology and concepts like Flow, Pull and 5S Visual Management.

Six Sigma Training

We use simulations to show the students how important it is to have GOOD DATA and how to verify that that the data they use to analyze the process is good data.

Six Sigma Training

We show the students powerful ways to “discover” what is happening in their process like Quick Change Process Mapping and Value Stream Mapping.

Six Sigma Training

We visit high schools to show them the power of LEAN and Six Sigma through tools like the Statapult (Statistics Catapult).

Lean Six Sigma Certification Options

Please see Lean Six Sigma Certification Options for more detail on our different certification options.

We hope to see you in one of our classes!

What our Clients Have to Say

I received my Lean Six Sigma Green belt from Six Sigma Development Solutions, Inc.. The class was a mix of traditional in person students (that were in the classroom physically) and virtual students (who were signed in via GoToMeeting) and was engaging every day of class.

I also chose to complete a lean six sigma project (versus taking the IASSC Certification Examination) to get my certificate, and I had the help of the team at SSDSI all the way through. I plan to attend the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training very soon!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Are the courses designed as preparation for the IASSC exams or for individuals wanting to get a better understanding of the Lean Six Sigma methodology?

Our course is designed to produce effective practitioners of Lean Six Sigma. Our Lean Six Sigma Training classes are focused on the completion of a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt project for certification. We are not a “boot camp” for the IASSC test. If your goal is to take the IASSC test (as is the goal of many of our clients), then let us know and we will point you to resources, along with our course, that will prepare you for the IASSC test.

Are your courses more geared towards LEAN or Six Sigma? How would you differentiate the two?

Our course in geared towards both Lean and Six Sigma. The difference between the two methodologies are:

  • The goal of Six Sigma is to eliminate defects, thereby improving quality and efficiency, by optimizing and improving all business processes.
  • The goal of Lean is to cut out wasteful steps in the creation of a product so that only steps that directly add value to the customer are taken thereby streamlining the process.

Our course teaches the core tools of both methodologies. We practice the Pareto concept in the development and delivery of our curriculum. What this means is we teach the 20% of the tools that are used 80% of the time. This allows us to shorten our class delivery time to five days. For the other 80% of the tools, we give you references (articles, tutorials, etc.).

What is the deadline to complete the Lean Six Sigma project?

If you choose to complete the project option for certification, you are required to complete the project in no more than six (6) months from the last day of your class. We (SSDSI) will mentor you for up to six (6) months from the last day of your course. The project mentorship is included in the price you paid to attend the course.

Please see Lean Six Sigma Certification Options for more information.

If you choose to take the IASSC test for your certification option, what is the deadline to take the IASSC test (once you have completed the course)?

If you choose to take the IASSC test for your certification option, there is no deadline to take the IASSC test after completion of our course. We suggest that that you wait no more than two weeks to complete the test so that the information you learned in class is still fresh in your mind.

If you choose to take the IASSC test, we will still offer mentorship of the project (or up to six (6) months from the last day of your course).

Please see Lean Six Sigma Certification Options for more information.

If we decide to take the IASSC exam, will you supply us with resources we need to study from for the test?

Yes. In your Lean Six Sigma Training  class, we will give you the extra resources to study in preparation for the IASSC examination.

What are the prerequisites to take the five (5) day Lean Six Sigma Black Belt course?

In order to take the 5 day Lean Six Sigma Black Belt course you must presently be certified as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt by either the IASSC (international Association for Six Sigma Certification), the ASQ (American Society for Quality) or SSDSI (our firm, Six Sigma Development Solutions, Inc.). See Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification Course Prerequisites for more information.

If you are not certified by one of these three sources, and you have required prerequisite Lean Six Sigma Green Belt knowledge, then you can take the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt test through the IASSC for $295. When you pass the test, you will then meet our prerequisite. See Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification Course Prerequisites for more information.

If you presently do not have a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification and your goal is to become a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, you can choose our Lean Six Sigma Black Belt FAST-TRACK Program.

I see you offer public Green Belt courses followed by a Black Belt course in the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt FAST-TRACK Program. Is there a discount If a person registers for both classes?

We offer a 10% discount for three (3) or more employees registered from the same organization in the same class. If less than three employees registered from the same organization in the same class for both classes (the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt class and the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt class) the total cost would be $5,998.

See the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt FAST-TRACK Program for more information.

Upon completing your Green Belt or Black Belt course, how do you take the exam? Do you offer the IASSC exam at the end of the course, or is that something the individual would do on their own?

The IASSC Green Belt Exam and the IASSC Black Belt Exam are offered only by the IASSC for an additional fee (on top of our class fee). We (SSDSI) do not give the exam at the end of class. The IASSC Green Belt Exam and the IASSC Black Belt Exam are offered as an on-demand web based exam.

Can an individual take the IASSC test as well as have a Master Black Belt Mentor them through their project?

Yes. We (SSDSI) will offer to mentor you for up to six (6) months from the last day of your course whether you take the IASSC test or not. The project mentorship is included in the price you paid to attend the course.

What statistical software will we be using in class?

We will be using a 30-day trial license of the most recent version of Minitab. You will have the option to buy Minitab at the end of the 30-day trial. If you decide not to continue the license, we have free Excel Alternatives to the Minitab statistical analysis.

Do I need any prerequisite knowledge for the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course (like statistics or a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification)?
