Lean Six Sigma Training

Two options to become certified as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt

We at Six Sigma Development Solutions, Inc. suggest choosing both Option #1 and Option #2 (See Below) as both options will gain you an internationally accredited certification and build your Lean Six Sigma Project Portfolio.

Option #1 (Certification through the IASSC) is a powerful international accreditation that is the standard at most organizations practicing Lean Six Sigma. Most of these organizations will also ask for your Lean Six Sigma project portfolio.

Option #2 will prove that you have shown mastery of the Lean Six Sigma tools and methodology. This option will help to build your Lean Six Sigma project portfolio.

Option #1 to become a certified Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt:

Pass the International Association for Six Sigma Certification’s (IASSC) Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Exam (http://www.iassc.org/six-sigma-certification/green-belt-certification/) or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Exam (http://www.iassc.org/six-sigma-certification/black-belt-certification/).

The IASSC Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Exam™ is a 100 question, closed book, proctored exam with a three hour allotted time. The Exam contains approximately 20 multiple-choice and true/false questions from each major section of the IASSC Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Body of Knowledge (see: http://www.iassc.org/six-sigma-certification/green-belt-certification/).

The IASSC Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Exam™ is a 150 question, closed book, proctored exam with a 4 hour allotted time. The Exam contains approximately 30 multiple-choice and true/false questions from each major section of the IASSC Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Body of Knowledge (see: http://www.iassc.org/six-sigma-certification/black-belt-certification/).

The Six Sigma Development Solutions, Inc.’s curriculum teaches the Body of Knowledge of both the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

If you choose Option #1, you do not have to complete a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt project for certification..You must however, still define a process opportunity (AKA problem) and work through the tools in the class using that opportunity.

Whether you decide to take the IASSC Exam or not, we (Six Sigma Development Solutions) will still mentor you through completion of your Lean Six Sigma Belt project.

Option #2 to become a certified Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt:

Complete a Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt level project using the tools, methodology and roadmap provided by Six Sigma Development Solutions, Inc.

*You have six (6) months from the last day of class to complete the requirements and certify your project with a Six Sigma Development Solutions, Inc.(SSDSI) Master Black Belt.

A Master Black Belt from Six Sigma Development Solutions, Inc.(SSDSI) will mentor you through your Lean Six Sigma project. The project mentorship is not additional cost.

If you complete a Lean Six Sigma Project as a group (more than one potential Belt working on the project), then you will also be required to pass Six Sigma Development Solutions internal Lean Six Sigma Certification examination (this is a different test than the IASSC Lean Six Sigma exam).

*You have two chances to pass the 20 question (60 minutes) exam, if you fail the test twice, you will be required to conduct your own (not as a group) Lean Six Sigma Green Belt project.

Once the Requirements are complete, you will receive a Lean Six Sigma Certification from Six Sigma Development Solutions (not the IASSC)

A Master Black Belt from Six Sigma Development Solutions, Inc.(SSDSI) must verify that your project meets the requirements for Lean Six Sigma Certification.
